Sports Faculty

At Chantry we teach a broad and balanced curriculum including Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Netball, Football, Table Tennis, Athletics, Softball, Swimming and Gymnastics. Students are given the opportunity to enjoy and succeed in all aspects of physical activity. They develop a wide range of skills and the ability to use tactics and compositional ideas to perform successfully.

KS4 During Key Stage 4, pupils are given an opportunity to continue their knowledge and understanding of the sports covered at Key Stage 3. They also have the opportunity to experience hockey, volley ball and tag rugby. Students in Year 10 can opt to take the Cambridge National qualification in Sports Science. During the two year course stdents can expect to go on a range of outings including Top Golf, Free running experience, Rock climbing and Stadium tours.

COMPETITION We also believe that sport should be competitive. That’s why we enter all the inter school competitive fixtures we possibly can. These include Football, Table Tennis and Fishing.
