World Book Day 2014
Chantry School is getting ready to celebrate “World book day” on the 6th of March 2014. Students will get involved and participate in lots of reading activities during that week.
We will have a really special guest to answer all our student’s questions and we will find out how is it like to be an author!
Students will dress up as their favourite book character, and they will donate £1. All the money collected will be used to send books to Africa, to help to change the life of thousands of children there.
It will be a week full of fun, surprises and undoubtedly reading!

Children In Need 2013
On Friday 15th November we held The Great Chantry Bake Off
in aid of the BBC’s Children In Need.
Staff and pupils paid £1 to wear pyjamas to school and a great selection on onesies turned up, including Batman, a fox, a dalmation and several leopards.
The staff all baked cakes at home and brought them in to school for the pupils to enter a competition guessing who had baked each set of cakes. After the winners were announced, the cakes were all sold while other games and competitions, like Beat The Goalie and Pin The Eye Patch On Pudsey, Guess How Many Sweets In The Jar took place on the hall.
Mr H had said that if we raised £100 he would have his chest waxed in front of the whole school. He thought he was safe because we have never managed to raise £100 for Children In Need before but, of course, he had not counted on the enthusiasm of Chantry pupils and staff!
In the end, Chantry School raised a grand total of £255 for Children In Need!
