New 'Youth Club' at Chantry

Wednesday 29th January 2014
We have recently added a "Youth Club" as part of the Schools resources. This is used as an incentive for good behaviour. Students can make use of the facility at break and lunch times if they behave well during lessons.
It has proved to be so successful and popular that we now have two clubs, one for the upper school and one for the lower school.
Within the clubs are a pool table, table tennis, and computer games, soft seating, music and the Tuck Shop.
Behaviour in lessons has dramatically improved.

Mon 18th to 22nd November
Three of our Yr 10 students attended the LIFE project which is a five day intensive course run by the London Fire Brigade, where they learn new skills as well as building on existing ones, the course is based on the role of the fire-fighter and the students learn how to use ladders, casualty rescue, breathing apparatus, first aid, and working as part of a team.
The week ended with a Pass-Out Parade where students showed Staff, Parents and relatives what they had learnt during the week.
One our Students Zac Baker received the Jack Petchey award for High Achievers this was voted by 12 other youngsters on the course.
