Healthy Eating

Chantry has a Healthy Eating Policy. Food is cooked on the premises using locally sourced and seasonal fresh produce. The school was awarded the Bronze Food for Life award in July 2011.

“The breakfast club provides a calm start to the day and the school is encouraging more pupils to attend. The pupils enjoy the high-quality, varied and healthy food provided by the school.” Ofsted

A free breakfast is available for pupils from 8.30 am.

Pupils are given a meat and vegetarian option for lunch. Jacket potatoes and a salad bar are also available. Lunches cost £2.20 a day or £11.00 a week including desert. Lunches must be paid for in advance, there are no refunds.

Year 11 students have to earn the privilege to go off site at lunchtime but only once parental consent is given.
